Although we aim to keep bureaucracy to a minimum, a certain amount of form-filling is inevitable, and your cooperation in this respect is vital. Your tutorials for your first term in Oxford will be arranged provisionally before your arrival and confirmed after the initial interview with the Academic Adviser. For subsequent terms a slightly different procedure will apply. For these terms, a Tutorial Preference form must be filled out and returned to the Academic Adviser no later than Friday of the Sixth week of the term preceding, stating the subjects you wish to study (first and second choices) and also any preferred tutors. On receipt of this form, arrangements will begin for your tutorials, which may, of course, involve discussion with you, the student, if your provisional plans seem ill-advised, unworkable, or present some other problem.
